Wellbeing Officer
Lake Gwelup’s School Wellbeing Officer is a valuable asset to our school community and complements other support services in the school, such as those offered by the School Psychologist. Our Wellbeing Officer is trained to support young people and their families who may be facing challenging personal and social issues.
Social and Emotional Learning Program
At Lake Gwelup Primary School, all teachers from Kindergarten to Year 6 follow a structured Social and Emotional Learning program to teach our students the skills that are necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships , and make responsible decisions.
Positive Behaviour School (PBS)
Over several years, Lake Gwelup Primary School has developed a whole school approach to managing student behaviour. This has included building a shared understanding and common language for our positive behaviour expectations. These expectations are embedded in our school’s Code of Conduct.
